Yep, you read it right. Converse is making sneakers with a built-in Wah pedal…

Converse has officially introduced the Converse All Wah sneakers, a variation of their iconic All Star sneakers, but with a built-in wah pedal.

The company acknowledged that the legendary sneakers are very much associated with musicians, saying that an on-board wah was simply the next logical step.

To make the pedal work, the engineers added a flexible sensor in the sneaker’s sole. Once the sensor picks up the information based on the user’s movement, it forwards the data to a Wah Box through Bluetooth. How ’bout that 😉

As the cherry on the top, the manufacturer replaced the name of Chuck Taylor with the one and only Chet Atkins, a guitar legend and the first guitarist ever to use a wah pedal.

The official press release says, that only 13 guitarists(I bet Kirk Hammett was one of them) got their feet on the all-wah at the moment, and it’s still unknown whether the sneakers will be available to public.
